I'm going to start making a Dunadain Ranger costume for the premier of The Hobbit, as well as for Halloween and any Cons I might find myself going to.
The first thing you need to find to make this costume is good sources. Lucky for you, I've found most of them!
You're gonna wanna check out http://www.alleycatscratch.com/lotr/ for pretty much everything.
But I'll put down individual links for each thing I do!
Even though this is just a generic Dunedain Ranger costume page, I'm doing my best to match Strider's costume

8. Bracers

This is a good source if you plan on tooling leather for your bracers, or would like a walkthrough of the process. However, since I didn't really want to learn how to tool leather for this, I used this tutorial.

It comes out looking just like leather. I also lined the foam with leather strips to make them look finished off, and used pleather for the other layers and for the bracer pad.
Grey Shirt
are there any tutorials available on how to make these?
